I visited the St. Paul Cathedral for the first time since I’ve been here. I must say it was a beautiful piece of architecture, and only wish that I had the know-how to take some photos and capture its beauty. I was accompanied by my father who is in town visiting for the Holidays.

This kind of architecture always makes me reflect on the beauty man is capable of creating with his hands. The amount of intricate detail in this building is amazing - and it’s even more amazing to think that it was done so long ago.

Well, I had actually written my review about The Show already, but my wife in her infinite wisdom suggested that I should probably watch what I say, so here it goes: It was a great place to meet people if you’re into that sort of crowd (the creative bunch that is). The show itself seemed a little long to me and I would rather have seen the work that won the awards a little longer (as opposed to the names of the people who won). Either way, The Show is a must-see in MN, so I guess I’ll see you there next year–no matter how long it is.

I just took some shots with my brand spankin’ new Canon Rebel XTi! I’m sooooo thrilled. This is my first step into a long-time dream of mine to learn photography. I feel like I can finally start looking into more serious photography lessons because I now have the correct equipment to experiment with. I think I know the basics of photography but I need to understand the science behind f-stops, apertures, etc. This is a sweet little camera though. It’s got more features than I know what to do with, so I feel like I can certainly grow into it. It’s a good long-term investment, so you should be seeing some better photos from now on. Wish me luck!

Alright folks, if you haven’t been to these guy’s labs page yet, you should really check it out. These guys are one of the web’s heavy hitters when it comes to Interactive Design, and now they have posted some tools that they use. Granted…a lot of this is pretty advanced stuff, but interesting nonetheless!
